The Banner of Jasna Góra is a living history group dedicated to learning and teaching about the 17th century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. We are named in honor of the defenders of the Jasna Góra Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland during the mid-seventeenth century Swedish Deluge or Potop.

We are nominally based at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Our members come from all walks of life and are bound together by our interest in the history of the period and culture we portray. Most of us have ancestors from the lands of the Polish-Lithuanian First Republic who are exploring our heritage. Our members share a fascination with this proud but largely unknown period of European history. While most of what we portray depicts the military aspects of the period, we also learn about and portray aspects of the civilian culture of the time from the proud noblemen and their ladies to the witty peasants.
